Why nothing fills in by itself

A W-9 is a tax document. It exists only because a business certifies its own tax number and signs under penalty of perjury.

So this tool types nothing for you. The carrier tells you their EIN, you enter it, and out comes a clean unsigned form you send them to sign and return.

That is the difference between a form helper and a forgery. It is also what keeps your payment processor from closing your account.

Any tool that fills in a stranger's tax ID for you is handing you someone else's private data.
